Add another film to the list of Disasters for RGV, and that includes PHOONK Too!

Its the Second Time watch! Nope.. Not the film to watch for the second time, but the Part II... which is like watching the next episode or the continuation of the same film (naturally)! But, at times you feel like you are watching the same episodes again and again that you have watched from the Graveyard of Horror Films of Ram Gopal Darna's Factory! Or should I call it a Workshop now, because his Factory was closed down long back... And no sooner, this workshop would turn to be a Godown and will close down too. And all the evil flop spirits of Raat, Darna Mana Hai, Darna Zaroori Hai, Darling, Agyaat etc will have to be buried in the Graveyard! (Read as: The film reels have to be kept in the godown)
The poster says: The First one was Warning! And this second one will Kill you. Yes, you want to Kill some time laughing at the Ghost! Gosh! No Scary moments at all!
As the story is nothing, but the Camera chasing everyone. Run! (RGV, How many times will you make everyone Run.. Right from Shiva to Road to Daud to Agyaat to Rann). The Family who thought they lived happily everafter in Phoonk 1 and are left to rest in peace have to face the horror as the Dead (Ashwini) is back as the Evil Spirit and she is ought to destroy them. And spare if there is a Phoonk 3 too!
If there is, then I am giving a Warning to RGV - Dare you make another Horror Film! Henceforth a film like Bhootnath and Hum Tum Aur Ghost will be termed as Actual Horror Films! Isnt that a big compliment of insult to the Film-maker?
On a serious note, RGV - stop the Kill, Thrill and Chill. And no more sequels to any of your earlier Sarkars and Agyaats. But spare us, we get to hear that there are two films back to back ready for release.. Rakta Charitra I & II. Isnt this TWO much from him. And also there is a BOO... in the making Too!
But, why am I blaming RGV? The film is directed by his assistant Milind Gadagkar, who makes his debute with this. But, isnt a Shishya more or less copying the Guru. Its RGV's GHOST direction on the phone and on the sets, that makes this film look exactly like Phoonk too!

All I can say is we need to add another Flop to the list of his recent disasters of Agyaat and Rann. And that includes PHOONK Too!

  1. First of all I Thank Mr. Malani for finally writing the reviews in your blog. Very well written as always you do. I had expected the film to be good only because Sudeep is in the film and he is a great actor. I will watch it for Sudeep and hope I can enjoy it as it is a horror film from RGV.

    Thanks Uday Rodrigues
